Can't Judge a book by its cover...

I bought a Kindle a few weeks back and already loving it. What's surprised me today is the news that Amazon are planning to release a dev kit to allow people to write apps for this e-reader. I didn't think that would happen due to the type of hardware. The limitations of an e-ink display (extremely slow refresh rate, but superb display for static content) will force a lot of creativity for people planning to build things for this device.
