Norwich Union and eBay Develop Strategic Relationship

Following the success of the Driveaway product, which offered seven days free insurance from Norwich Union for cars purchased on eBay Motors, this month Norwich Union and eBay are launching a new online insurance centre.
The site is promoted and can be entered via a series of banner advertisements featured throughout the eBay site. The banners have been developed by Soup to achieve a look and feel for the insurance centre that combines and reflects both brands effectively.
eBay users will be able to use the insurance centre to access information on Norwich Union's home, travel and motor insurance products. They will be able to obtain quotes and buy insurance via a click-through to Norwich Union Direct.
Soup Account Manager, Huw Edwards, said: 'This is a very exciting move for Norwich Union. To gain exposure to up to 15 million customers is a sound business decision. The project has seen us working with two major brands and combining these harmoniously has been a great achievement. We're looking forward to developing the look and feel of this relationship in the future.'
