COI Project: Soup Works With Police to Make Norfolk a Safer Place
Posted: 02 May 2007

Soup has worked with Norfolk Police and COI to develop the Safer Neighbourhoods microsite, which launched this week.

The site is designed to provide information about the Safer Neighbourhoods Teams - a dedicated team of officers who are visible, accessible and known to local people. They work closely with partner agencies (statutory and voluntary) and the local community to tackle the crime and disorder concerns and issues identified within the neighbourhood.

The site includes contact information and outlines current community priorities that are being tackled. It also provides feedback for residents on action that has been taken.

Soup has developed a fresh looking site which compliments the existing Norfolk Police site. The site allows all of the agencies, who have an interest in addressing quality of life issues at neighbourhood level, to provide information promptly to residents. The admin area of the site is also flexible enough for the agencies to easily and quickly update key areas of the site.

Importantly the site will provide key information to local people and allows the Police to communicate about the scheme.
