Soup Wins Staff Care Award

This morning we held our teas and coffees aloft in celebration when we discovered we had been honoured with the Learning Skills Staff Care Award at the EDP Business Awards.

For us this is a really special award. The staff are what makes Soup as good as it is. Their brains, expertise, dedication, enthusiasm and energy mean that Soup is not only a national player in the industry but a really enjoyable place to work, so it’s really important for us to look after everyone well.

We think we probably caught the judges eye with our I’m From Soup Get Me Out of Here Scheme: Bi monthly teams of 6 staff are given £3K and 2 days off to travel anywhere in the world, enjoy themselves, bond and come up with ideas to improve the company. Activities such as Skydiving in Lisbon, camel riding in Marrakesh and skiing in Austria have all been undertaken. On their return, the group makes a presentation to the rest of the company and gives the all important gift from their travels.

As well as inspirational trips, we provide massages to rub stressed shoulders and bacon sandwiches on Fridays. We offer regular training in new developments in digital to keep everyone at the top of their game, and we have a strong interactive internal communication system to encourage company wide idea sharing.

We're really happy to have been recognised in this way. And we're really happy to have such a marvellous group of people working at Soup.
